Storage & Handling

Storage & Handling
During transportation from cold storage to the shop floor, it is recommended that all prepregs are handled using the core onto which it has been wound. Any unused prepreg should be rolled back up tightly onto the roll and retaped to prevent wrinkles, and then rebagged.
Avoid inhalation of fumes during post mould, or any dust or fumes that may be released or created when machining and cutting.
Avoiding Condensation moisture contamination:
To maintain the longest shelf life but still avoid condensation moisture contamination problems during moulding, prepregs should be taken out of the freezer or cold room 24 -48 hours prior to use, depending on the prepreg thickness and reel size (full or part used).
