Composite tubes are cylindrical structures made from composite materials, a fusion of two or more distinct materials, resulting in a new material with exceptional properties. These tubes are typically constructed by embedding reinforcing fibres, such as fibreglass, carbon fibre, or aramid fibre, within a matrix material, commonly a polymer resin. They can be crafted through either prepreg wrapping or filament winding techniques, allowing for a wide range of internal diameters and wall thicknesses to suit a myriad of applications.

Pultrusion is a manufacturing process used in the production of composite materials. The term “pultrusion” is derived from the combination of “pull” and “extrusion,” which accurately describes the process. In pultrusion, continuous fibers, such as fiberglass, or carbon fiber, are saturated with a resin and then pulled through a heated die. This die shapes the fibers and resin into a specific profile or shape. As the pultruded material exits the die, it undergoes curing or solidification, resulting in a strong, lightweight, and durable composite profile.
